TASK SHEET <br /> TASK NAME, Land Capability Study NUMBER: 1.0 <br /> OBJECTIVE, To establish reasonable capacities of land in Mashpee <br /> given the inherent qualities and conditions of the land, <br /> and given current ownership and use patterns <br /> DATA REQUIREDs Soils , slopes, drainage, vegetation, water quality, <br /> special shoreline conditions , land ownership, and the <br /> need for clear zones for Otis Air Force Base. <br /> PREVIOUS WORK DONE, Soil survey - U.S . Soil Conservation Service. <br /> Municipal Facility Plan for Wastewater Management - <br /> Cape Cod Planning and Economic Development Commission. <br /> Air Installation Compatible Use Zone - Otis AFB. <br /> General Land Use Plan Studies - Comm. Ping. Services , Inc. <br /> PROCEDURES, Determine unbuildable land and marginally buildable land. <br /> Subtract these figures from total available land. Subtract <br /> clear zone land and land already developed. Apply current <br /> and possible future zoning densities to the remaining <br /> open land.; Use only existing data sources. No new <br /> survey data will be collected. Work with individual <br /> Planning Board members to check validity of the data <br /> and to fill in any gaps. <br /> PRODUCTS, Estimates of number of dwelling units that can reasonably <br /> be built in each part of town. Identification of lands <br /> that should be treated very cautiously for development. <br /> TIME REQUIRED, <br /> Z persondays over a one month period. <br />
