First, the improper format on the
1980 ballot, seeking town approval for a second time, etc. . .
The people realized that Mashpee needed its own authority to
inventory housing needs and to manage these needs within the
town. While United Church Homes addresses low and moderate in-
come persons , it does not accommodate elderly housing needs .
Elderly housing is a subject of concern at the Growth Review "
Committee Meetings . In particular, the Committee has mentioned
the desirability of locating elderly housing within the proposed
village concept which is the center of town. Affordable housing '
for young married couples , or even singles for that matter, is
another topic of discussion by the Growth Review Committee.
With your knowledge on housing, would you be kind enough to
meet with us for a general discussion on this subject?
Ve truly yo s,
B , ,.-an Thomas , Chairwoman
Chester .
