➢ Discuss the proposed land being offered by Otis Air Force Base <br /> o Summary: The discussion focused on key action items related to regional <br /> housing initiates and land management strategies at Otis Air Force Base. Mr. <br /> Weeden commented on following up with Mass Development Group regarding <br /> their role with the Cape Cod Commission. Additionally, outreach will be initiated <br /> with Bourne Town Planner Jennifer Copeland to explore surplus land <br /> opportunities, and potential contact with Mark Forest, Chair of the Barnstable <br /> County Commissioners, will be considered to discuss the master plan for the base <br /> land. <br /> Additional Discussion <br /> o The Cape Cod Commission agreed to present at a future meeting,pending the <br /> appointment of additional board members <br /> o The initial outreach to Mass Development Group has been made,but no response <br /> yet. <br /> o The committee aims to be part of the master planning process for any surplus land <br /> on the base. <br /> ➢ Discuss proposed town properties for affordable housing <br /> o Summary: Participants focused on enhancing the town's approach to affordable <br /> housing through potential developments.
