<br /> Mashpee Economic Development Industrial Corporation (EDIC) <br />Minutes – April 22, 2025 <br />6:00 PM <br />Ockway Meeting Room <br /> <br />Present: Carol Sherman, Pamela McCarthy, Robyn Simmons, Denise Dutson, Patrice <br />Pimental <br /> <br />Guests: Stephanie Viva, Mashpee Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Carol Sherman opened the meeting at 6:04 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Minutes: Pamela moved to approve the minutes of 3/25/2025. Patrice seconded; the motion <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Election of officers <br /> <br />Carol said the committee cannot elect officers until a new Select Board liaison is chosen. The <br />liaison may not be chosen until May or June, depending on what is in front of the Select board. <br /> <br />4. Treasurer’s Report: <br /> <br />The EDIC’s checking account had $15,928; the money market account has $15,055 and the <br />CD has $263,664. <br /> <br />5. Old Business: <br /> <br />Carol reminded the committee member that the EDIC needs members. There are two <br />commercial seat vacancies on the committee currently. <br /> <br />6. New Business: <br /> <br />Stephanie Viva is writing a grant of $3,500 to get a SNAP match for anyone who uses a SNAP <br />EBT card to purchase food from the Mashpee Farmer’s market. from the Cape Cod <br />Foundation. Additionally, the Mashpee Farmer’s Market is applying for a grant from the Cape <br />Cod Foundation to put in a potable water station at the Farmer’s Market. Right now, Stephanie <br />is paying out of her own pocket to get the water refilled. She asked for the EDIC to write a <br />letter of support. Pamela moved the EDIC write a letter of support and Robyn seconded the <br />motion.
