Unanimous <br />Selectwoman Sherman-yes Selectman Weeden-yes <br />Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes Selectman Cotton-yes <br />Selectman O’Hara-yes <br /> <br />Discussion of Proposed Select Board Letter of Support of Installation of Solar Canopies and <br />Generator Replacement at the Community Health Center of Cape Cod <br />The Select Board opened the discussion regarding the letter of support for the installation of <br />solar canopies at the Community Health Center. <br />Motion made by Selectman Weeden to approve the letter of support. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O’Hara. <br />Selectwoman Sherman-yes Selectman Weeden-yes <br />Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes Selectman Cotton-yes <br />Selectman O’Hara-yes <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Chris Ball, a longtime resident and voter, spoke on the need for respectful and professional <br />leadership in volunteer roles, emphasizing the importance of character assessment when <br />making voting decisions. <br />Irene Checkovich, President of Mashpee Inc. Environmental Coalition, announced the Second <br />Annual Earth Day event on April 19, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Mashpee Senior <br />Center. The free event will include textile recycling, secure shredding, composting information, <br />and recycling of media storage items in compliance with Massachusetts solid waste laws <br />prohibiting textile disposal in trash. <br />TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br />Town Manager Collins informed the rollout of Phase 1 in terms of the connection notices that <br />will be sent via mail in flyer form describing the hookup process. <br />Also stated, that the state has extended the authorization for allowing public bodies to hold <br />remote or hybrid meeting through June of 2027. <br />It was stated that the Barnstable County Home Consortium Advisory council needs a member <br />after Gary Shuman resigned as the town of Mashpee representative. <br /> <br />
