Select Board Minutes May 19,2025 Vote: 3-0. Unanimous Roll Call Vote Selectman Weeden-yes Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes Selectman Cotton-yes Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-Abstention Selectman Richardson- Abstention APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS Presentation on Mashpee Harbor Management Plan – UMass Boston, Urban Harbors Institute Bobbi Tomaino, Director of Natural Resources and Chair of the Mashpee Harbor Management Planning Committee, presented an overview of the draft Mashpee Harbor Management Plan. Developed over two years with support from UMass Boston’s Urban Harbors Institute and funded by the Seaport Economic Council with a local match, the plan aims to guide the long-term use, maintenance, and protection of Mashpee’s maritime resources. It addresses water quality, mooring and vessel management, shellfish and habitat protection, infrastructure, and public access, based on extensive public input from meetings and surveys. A draft will be released for public review in June 2025, followed by a comment period, a tribal review, and a final vote by the Select Board in fall 2025. State approval is expected within several months thereafter and would enhance permitting and grant opportunities. The Board expressed appreciation for the process and will revisit the plan following public and stakeholder review. Review of Recommendation for Award of Contracts – Catherine Laurent, DPW Director The Select Board opened by welcoming Catherine Laurent, DPW Director. She recommended the contract be awarded to Sprague Energy for both gasoline and diesel for the FY 2026 on July 1. Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve gasoline contract be awarded to Sprague Operating Resources for the fixed price of 2.4850 per gallon for the FY 2026. Motion seconded by Selectman Richardson. Vote:5-0. Unanimous Roll Call Vote
