Select Board Minutes July 14,2025 Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes Selectman Weeden-yes Selectman Cotton- yes Selectman Richardson- yes Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-yes Discussion and Certiﬁcation of Disclosure by Municipal Employee of Financial Interest in a Municipal Contract – Hope Hanscom, Cape Cod Collaborative The Board welcomed Hope Hanscom. Hanscom has submitted a disclosure form for a conﬂict of interest between local school employee who intends to provide consulting services over the summer. Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson conﬁrmed that the arrangement is only for the summer, and Hanscom reiterated this point. Selectman Weeden inquired whether this type of service is typically ﬁlled on a regular basis and whether the position had gone through a formal bid process. Hope explained that the position was posted in December, but they have been unable to ﬁll it. Although someone has been hired for the fall, they are not available in time for the summer session. Town Manger Rodney Collins noted that Hanscom had been thoughtful enough to call him directly, and that this disclosure is simply a legal technicality. Hanscom added that there is a small loophole in the law that prevents someone employed by a public school from simultaneously working for a collaborative that works with said public school, which necessitates this formal disclosure process. Motion made by Selectman Richardson to approve the Certiﬁcation of Disclosure by Municipal Employee of Financial Interest in a Municipal Contract. Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton.
