Meeting Minutes <br /> Capital Improvement Program Committee Meeting <br /> January 15, 2025 <br /> r. Collins inquired if the state is offsetting any of the coast for Food Service Equipment and Ms. Lopes <br /> explained that the School will apply for grants once those have been posted. She reminded everyone that <br /> the School is not eligible to apply every year. <br /> In response to a question, Mr. Moroney stated that the School would be using HubTech as the firewall <br /> provider. He stated that he applied for the E-Rate Program, and indicated that the district usually gets <br /> around $60,000, but that is not guaranteed. The School will replace three physical firewall units with Al <br /> enabled firewalls from the same provider. <br /> With respect to the Chromebook replacements,they will be HP products and the School reuses every part <br /> that it can before recycling the old canes. <br /> Proposed wireless upgrades at Quashnet and KC Coombs will brim the whole district in line. <br /> r.Collins questioned why the firewall was not projected for on last year's CIP outlook,and Mr. Moroney <br /> answered that it became a priority because of problems at the high school. <br /> At this time, while waiting for the DPW Director, Mr. Collins advised Committee members that the Fire <br /> Department, DNR and potentially Wastewater would be presenting at the next CIP meeting on January <br /> 2gt". r. Collins explained that the Wastewater Superintendent had been advised to brim his proposal <br /> before CIP if his intention is to submit an article for the May Town Meeting Warrant. Committee members <br /> were in agreement that future Wastewater projects should be brought before the CIP Committee, Mr. <br /> Collins stated that, in addition to transparency, there has to be a cost estimate and a scope for all <br /> Wastewater projects. <br /> r.
