SHELLFISH COMMISSION <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> July 8, 2025 —6:OOPM <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL— 16 GREAT NECK ROAD NORTH <br /> WAQUOIT MEETING ROOM <br /> PRESENT: Chair,Peter Thomas, Shellfish Constable, Chris Avis, <br /> Jaime Pachico, Dwight Pfundstein, Darryl Christensen <br /> ABSENT: Bill Holmes, Dick Cook, Buddy Pocknett <br /> CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Chair Thomas called the meeting to order in Open Session in <br /> the Waquoit Meeting Room at 6:02PM. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: None at this time. <br /> MINUTES: Discussion and approval of the May 13, 2025, Shellfish Commission Meeting <br /> minutes. <br /> Shellfish Constable pointed out a few corrections in the draft minutes under the section of <br /> Shellfish Restoration Project, the spelling of last name. <br /> MOTION To approve and accept the Minutes as Amended. <br /> Motion by: Chris Avis Seconded by: Daryl Christensen <br /> Vote: The Motion passed unanimously. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Not discussed <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Shellfish Constable reminded committee members of a previous agreement to <br /> periodically review the town's shellfish regulations. Although not listed formally on the <br /> evening's agenda, he suggested everyone take time over the coming months to review the <br /> regulations individually in preparation for in-depth discussions in the fall. He underscored the <br /> importance of being proactive and ready to address regulatory updates during the October <br /> meeting cycle to avoid unnecessary delays. <br /> Chair Thomas added his support for this initiative, proposing a timeline to begin formal <br /> discussions by October or November.
