,�yrxrasr�.a <br /> Town of Mashpee Community Preservation Commission <br /> " 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> ° Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Community Preservation Commission Meeting Summary <br /> Thursday, May 20, 2025; 6:30 PM <br /> Mashpee Town Hall -Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> **In Person and Televised Meeting** <br /> Present:Arden Russell, Chair/Member at Large, Lynne Barbee, Member at Large, Ed Schmuhl, <br /> Member at Large, Richard Klein, Mashpee Housing Authority Representative, Sandi Godfrey, <br /> Conservation Commission Representative, Michaela Wyman-Colombo, Select Board Representative, <br /> Mary Waygan, Planning Board Representative, and Judy MacDougall, Member at Large <br /> The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm in the Waquoit Meeting Room. <br /> (Brian Hyde, Historical Commission Representative was absent) <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> No Public Comment <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> Application Deadline & Town Planner's Presentation <br /> Chair Russell reminded the Committee that the application deadline for CPC proposals for <br /> consideration at the October 20, 2025, Town Meeting was April 1, 2025. The Committee will review <br /> applications and submit recommendations for inclusion on the Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Town Planner Brian Tobin presented an application for funding to support Regional Housing Services, <br /> a program coordinated through the Barnstable County Shared Regional Housing Services Program. <br /> • Program Background: <br /> Mr. Tobin explained that Mashpee, along with many other Cape towns,has benefited from this <br /> regional program, which provides affordable housing planning assistance and access to <br /> technical consultants. Previously,participation was supported by federal ARPA(American <br /> Rescue Plan Act) funds, but that grant expires June 2025. Going forward, towns must self-fund <br /> participation. Of the 15 Cape towns, 12 have already committed, one has declined, and one <br /> plans to join in a year. <br /> • Requested Funding: <br /> Mr. Tobin requested$9,235.00 from Mashpee CPC's affordable housing allocation.
