Select Board <br /> September 15,2025 <br /> Minutes <br /> Town Manager Rodney Collins noted that on August 14, the Select Board office was <br /> officially notified of a resignation from the Library Board of Trustees. In accordance with the <br /> appropriate procedures, the Chair of the Library Board submitted the name of a proposed <br /> candidate to fulfill the remainder of the unexpired term. <br /> The candidate, Joan Lyons, is a long-time Mash pee resident and former Library Trustee, <br /> having previously served for nine years <br /> Lyons expressed her enthusiasm about returningto the Library Board. She described the <br /> library as a "special institution"within the community and stated that she missed being <br /> involved. When asked to return, she immediately said yes and would be honored to serve <br /> again. Board members agreed that she would be a wonderful asset to the Board and the <br /> community. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve the application of Joan Lyons to fill the <br /> vacancy on Board of Library Trustees through May 9, 2026 Election. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Richardson. <br /> Vote: 9-0 Unanimous <br /> Roll Call Vote <br /> Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes <br /> Selectman Weeden-yes <br /> Selectman Cotton-yes <br /> Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-yes <br /> Selectman Richardson-yes <br /> Mary Leclair-yes <br /> Sandi Lahart-yes <br /> Ruth Nickerson-yes <br /> Bethany Geatrakas-yes <br /> Motion made by Bethany Geatrakas to adjourn the joint meeting. <br /> Motion seconded by Ruth Nickerson. <br /> Vote: 4-0 Unanimous <br /> 3 <br />
