Town of Mashpee Sewer Commission <br /> t <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Meeting Minutes of the Mashpee Sewer Commission <br /> Special Meeting <br /> Monday, July 21, 2025; 10:02 AM <br /> Mashpee Town Hall - Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> *In-person and televised meeting* <br /> Present: Chair, Meredith Harris; Vice Chair, Alfred Towle; Commissioners Joseph Lyons, and Cody <br /> Erickson; Wastewater Superintendent,Jared Meader; and Ashley Fisher,Water Quality Coordinator <br /> Chair Meredith Harris called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m. <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was recited followed by a moment of silence. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> No public comment <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Chair Harris stated that the main purpose of the Special meeting was to review, discuss and vote on <br /> acquiring grinder pump easements for eminent domain for contracts 3,4, 5 and 6 within Phase 2 of the <br /> Mashpee Clean Water Project.This project began in 2015 when it was approved by MA DEP and has <br /> undergone adaptations and development over the last 10 years. All easements within these contracts <br /> which includes passage for grinder pumps, etc. <br /> MOTION:To move to take by eminent domain pursuant to M.G.L.c.79§1 and M.G.L.c.83 §1 for <br /> Contracts 3,4, 5&6 for Phase 2 of the Collection System Improvements Project. Permanent Sewer <br /> Easements within the private ways and permanent grinder pump station easements and sewer pump <br /> station easements on the private properties identified in the orders of taking prepared by Town <br /> Council and shown on the Plans referenced therein and award no damages for said takings and to <br /> execute and authorize the Chair to execute on behalf of the Sewer Commission and on behalf of the <br /> Town,the Orders of Taking in any and all other documents necessary or appropriate for effectuate <br /> said takings. <br /> Motion bv: Meredith Harris Seconded by:Joseph Lyons <br /> Vote: Motion passed by unanimous vote. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> MOTION:To adjourn. <br /> Motion bv:Alfred Towle Seconded by:Joseph Lyons <br /> Vote: Motion passed by unanimous vote. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10:15 a.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> �rrLqi�ans�� <br /> Gina Gonsalves <br /> Board Secretary <br />
