Town of Mashpee Sewer Commission
t
16 Great Neck Road North
Mashpee, MA 02649
will go into the Senior Center newsletter. Chair Harris asked that this information also to be put
on the Sewer Commission website as well.
Website
Chair Harris stated that the website needs to reflect all of the updates including the list of
contractors as well as any new funding processes so that people know how to apply for them.
Public Comment
Steven Asmond of 14 Ship's Anchor asked if there is any consideration given to push
notifications to the Town of Mashpee. Wastewater Superintendent Meader responded that he
did have a conversation with the IT Department regarding push notifications and the current
system is not set up that way but is working towards it.
Correspondence
Additional Topics (not reasonably anticipated by Chair)
Clerk Castaneda asked where the assessment of Willow Bend and Southport private facilities
that reached out to the Town of Mashpee stating that they would like the Town to take over.
Wastewater Superintendent Meader stated that onsite evaluations have been done, they seem
viable and now, it needs to be evaluated for financial benefit for the Town. GHD will compile all
of the information. Mr. Drainville added that a report should be done by the end of the summer
for the town for both locations. Southport was recently upgraded and they have a lot of
capacity and Willowbend is a bit older with not as much capacity. Commissioner Lyons added
that an engineering overview of Willowbend and Southport needs to be done, as opposed to
just an agreement.
Adjournment
Motion made by Vice Chair Towle to adjourn. Motion seconded by Commissioner Lyons. All in
favor. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Meeting adjourned at 3:34pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Gina Gonsalves
Board Secretary
List of Documents:
• Meeting Minutes of May 15, 2025
