FINCOM-Regular Session <br /> January8,2026 <br /> Communication from Select Board Liaison, if any NA <br /> Communication from School Committee Liaison, if any NA <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Town Manager updates on other items <br /> No new updates from the Town Manager currently. <br /> The Finance Committee discussed that several budget items remain under review pending <br /> completion of the FY2027 budget. Insurance and healthcare costs continueto be a <br /> concern, with potential increases exceeding 10%, largelydriven by rising medication costs. <br /> Contingency planning is underway. A cybersecurity update confirmed that the Rapid7 <br /> initiative has been completed. <br /> Review FY2027 Budget Department Requests <br /> The Committee reviewed departmental budget requests, notingthat a substantial portion <br /> originates from the School. Further discussion is ongoing, and the School Superintendent <br /> is expected to attend a future meeting to present its budget. The Fire Department reported <br /> that grant funding for four positions is ending and that the department is working to sustain <br /> these positions primarily through ambulance revenue, with plans to replace ambulances <br /> annually overthe nextfouryears. Most Fire Department costs are salary-related, with labor <br /> negotiations ongoing.
