Vote: 3-0-2 Unanimous Roll Call Vote Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes Selectman Weeden-abstention Selectman Cotton-yes Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-abstention Selectman Richardson- yes APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS Review of Proposed Amendments to Shellﬁsh Regulation – Chris Avis, Shellﬁsh Constable The Select Board welcomed Shellﬁsh Constable Chris Avis, who presented the updated shellﬁsh regulations book. He explained that the revisions were intended to create a simpliﬁed document for recreational users, alongside a more comprehensive and detailed version for aqua culturists and commercial license holders. During the review, outdated language was corrected, and the fee schedule was evaluated to align with average rates across Cape Cod and the Islands. As part of the changes, the residential/family recreational license fee increased from $25 to $35 per year. The most signiﬁcant change involved the commercial license fee, which increased from $125 to $250. Adjustments were also made to eel-taking provisions. It was also noted that parking near “Little River” is available during the season only with a valid parking pass issued by the Town Clerk’s O?ice. Additionally, it was clariﬁed that in the event of an aqua culturist’s death, the license may be transferred to a family member only if the transfer process is completed while the aqua culturist is still alive; otherwise, the license would revert to the Town of Mashpee. Selectman Weeden suggested adding a clarifying paragraph deﬁning what constitutes poaching and unauthorized persons, to which Avis agreed. The fees were agreed upon as reasonable. Motion made by Selectman Richardson to approve the Regulations with stated amendments. Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. Vote: 5-0 Unanimous Roll Call Vote 4
