<br />Freshwater Ponds Committee <br />September 16,2025 <br />Minutes <br /> <br />Susan Dangel -yes <br />Irene Checkovich-yes <br />Jonathan Small-yes <br />Laurel Francke-yes <br />Linda Farricy-yes <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Article 4 Information Workshop Dates <br />The Town Manager has initiated a series of informational workshops to educate and engage <br />the public on Article 4 – the proposed Mashpee Wakeby Cluster System. These <br />collaborative workshops bring together town sta? and residents for open dialogue and <br />shared understanding. <br />A total of four workshops have been scheduled, taking place on 9/11,9/12, 10/9, and 10/16, <br />all held in the Waqoit Meeting Room at 7:00 PM. These sessions are designed to build upon <br />each other and are broadcast on Mashpee TV and posted on the Town’s website for broader <br />access. Residents are encouraged to follow and watch the full series. <br />Additionally, as part of its ongoing public outreach e?orts, Mashpee Clean Water has <br />organized a series of Zoom webinars to provide residents with important background and <br />context regarding the town’s water quality challenges and sewer planning. Two recent <br />webinars were held on September 18 and October 9. The next session, titled “10 Things to <br />Know About Mashpee’s Waters,” will take place at 7:00 PM this week. This presentation will <br />focus on the historical context behind the town’s sewering e?orts, helping the public better <br />understand why these initiatives are being pursued. All webinar information and updates <br />can be found on the Mashpee Clean Water Facebook page, which is publicly accessible <br />without the need to join, and on the website at MashpeeCleanWaters.info. <br />While the Town-led cluster system workshops are focused on the specifics of Article 4, the <br />Zoom webinars are designed to provide a broader understanding of the environmental and <br />historical factors driving the sewering initiative. Residents are encouraged to participate in <br />both series to stay informed and engaged. <br />Santuit Pond Grant Project Update- N/A <br />Ashley Fisher, Water Quality Coordinator and Grant Administrator, was not in attendance <br />and will provide an update at a later time. <br /> <br />
