Update on Wastewater project in Capital Improvement Plan request <br />Jared Meader provided an update on the Wastewater project as part of the <br />Capital Improvement Plan request. The request is for funding to support the <br />design phase of the next stage of the project, including engineering, <br />surveying, and the identification of potential recharge areas. The expansion <br />area being evaluated could ultimately serve additional parcels within the <br />Town. <br />Discussion included the location of potential recharge areas and nearby <br />water bodies, including Johns Pond and Ashumet Pond. Committee <br />members asked about possible impacts to nearby residences and whether <br />any concerns had been raised. Jared Meader noted that no concerns have <br />been brought forward and that the Town owns much of the surrounding land. <br />Environmental and regulatory considerations were discussed. Jared Meader <br />also provided a general update on the progress of the current phases of the <br />wastewater expansion project, noting that earlier phases are operational <br />while the next phase is under construction and a future phase remains in the <br />design stage. <br />Jared Meader noted that the current request is specifically for design work <br />related to the next phase of the wastewater project. <br />2. Assistant Town Manager updates on other items <br />The Assistant Town Manager provided a brief update on upcoming items. The <br />next meeting will include review of the Town Meeting warrant articles and <br />additional discussion on the Town’s budget. The Select Board is also <br /> <br />
