<br />Select Board <br />March 16,2026 <br />Minutes <br /> <br />Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-yes <br />Selectman Richardson- yes <br /> <br />Article 33- Petition Article <br />Motion made by Selectman Weeden to recommend Article 33. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />Chair Wyman-Colombo stated that there is no harm in recommending the item, <br />emphasizing that doing so would not interfere with any business operations and would <br />simply serve as a statement. <br />Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson noted that Larry Ginsburg had provided her with substantial <br />background information on the issue and expressed appreciation for language included to <br />ensure that traditional uses of fur and established ways of life would not be infringed upon. <br />Selectman Weeden commented that tanneries are often associated with significant <br />contaminants and stated that while he could support aspects related to general use, he <br />could not support the commercial sale of animals for fur, noting that farming animals <br />specifically for fur is not a practice he supports. <br />Vote: 5-0 Unanimous <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes <br />Selectman Weeden-yes <br />Selectman Cotton-yes <br />Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-yes <br />Selectman Richardson- yes <br /> <br />Article 34- Petition Article <br />Selectman Cotton stated that he was unclear on what the article is proposing to replace <br />and expressed discomfort supporting it without additional information from the Board of <br />24 <br /> <br /> <br />
