HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
FRIDAY, JANUARY 17, 2025
11:00AM ZOOM MEETING

PRESENT:
Lynne Barbee (C), Gail Wilson (HS Director), Karen Yetra, Mary Bradbury, Kasey Sheehan,
Zakary Seabury (guest)

CALL TO ORDER 11:01am

PUBLIC COMMENT none

OLD BUSINESS

October 2024 and November 2024 minutes will be approved at the February meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

Gail Wilson introduced Zakary Seabury, Town Health Agent, to inform the Committee about a
new initiative which will be a collaboration between the Health Department and the Human
Services Department.

Zakary walked the committee through Behavioral Health 360, an internet based program which
offers resources for mental health self-care and triage. This will be available to all town
employees and residents, to assist with mental health issues and concerns to improve mental
health in our community. Once in place and in use, the Town will be able to collect anonymous
data about what services and resources residents are looking for help with and can help us
shape the platform to adhere to those needs. It is currently under discussion as to the possibility
of this type of online platform for school aged students. Gail will reach out to the school to see if
they would have interest in this.

Public promotion of the initiative will be very important to its success. No one on the Cape has
implemented this program at this time and it is hoped that Mashpee wil be a leader in this
space. A subcommittee is being formed to assist with the successful implementation of the
program. Lynne suggested that religious and tribal leaders be included on that committee. The
Town Administration has approved the effort and will be kept apprised of the progress of the
initiative.
