Amended 2026 ATM, Article ___, subject to Attorney General approval. §120-2.1 Purpose The purpose of this section is to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the Town of Mashpee by establishing reasonable and enforceable standards regulating excessive dog barking and noise, while permitting responsible pet ownership and protecting residents ’reasonable right to peace and privacy. §120-2.2 Definitions As used in this section, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated: A. Dog – Any canine animal. B. Owner and/or Keeper – Any person who owns, harbors, keeps, controls, or has custody of a dog. C.
