IMP. IMBO
d"fr,,{yn,r,fw VhP.
w Mashpee lncCusion and'Diversity Committee
16 Great Neck Road -Vort(-
MasGtpee, M-A 02649
Chair would like to take the information from the survey and compile some of that data into the
plan.
Trish Hill commented that the school is going through this process and provided insight into
what that looks like. Initially, there are a series of meetings that involve a variety of
stakeholders. They look at the makeup of the Town and decide what the Mission and Vision of
the organization are, use data available about the Town, and discuss where you want to go in
the next 5 years. You then map out actions to take. If there is a goal to increase advocacy, you
would develop an action plan on what that would look like, with timelines and responsibilities.
Once it is all compiled, you make it public and share with all stakeholders. This is done through
a working group not a regular meeting. This process may require 6 meetings.
MILK Breakfast
The MLK breakfast was well attended, inspirational, and positive. The Chair would like a grant
to support the meals for the children who come in and perform the I Have A Dream speech.
Falmouth resident Dr. Seyana Mawusi was honored with the No Place for Hate Civil
Leadership Award. Mr. Klein would like her to come speak to this Committee. She was
honored for her racial trauma project.
Daphne Burt from Braver Angels will be at our next meeting. She would like to develop a
program in the community where people can come together and learn how to communicate
effectively.
NEXT MEETING: Tuesday, February 17, 2026 @ 5:OOPM
ADJOURNMENT
MOTION:
Mohamad Zefzaf made a motion to adjourn the meeting of the MIDC at 5:52PM.
Seconded by Richard Klein. All in favor.
Respectfully Submitted,
Christine M. MacDonald
Board Secretary
5
