<br />FINCOM-Regular Session <br />March 19,2026 <br /> <br />Motion made by Keith Machado to recommend Article 26. <br />Motion seconded by Darlene Furbush. <br />Motion passed 6-0. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Je?rey Pettengill, yes; Jamie Schuh, yes; Richard Weiner yes; Darlene Furbush, yes; <br />Keith Machado, yes; Anne Schnader, yes. <br />Article 27 <br />This article involves reallocating funds from the Waterways improvement account to cover <br />engineering, permitting, dredging, and associated expenses. <br />Town Manager Rodney Collins explained that the goal is to authorize the use of money <br />already in the account specifically for dredging purposes. He noted that approximately <br />$20,000–$25,000 may be earmarked for another purpose, but the majority represents a <br />larger allocation for dredging. It was explained that some parts of the process may <br />happen at the same time due to the project layout. There is also pending litigation that <br />needs to be resolved, and the Town is proceeding based on legal guidance and specific <br />language, despite some disagreement about the original project. It was noted that the <br />intent is to place any remaining land not used for the project into conservation, although <br />the timing is not clearly defined and could be delayed to see how the project functions.
