of TMs s,s
z.
Aannin Board
c
16 Great Neck Road North
.wlashpee, Aassachusetts 02649
28, the only time that entry gets delayed is if there was a pedestrian crossing that crosswalk,
and the only time a backup would happen on Route 28 is when multiple vehicles were arriving
at the same time with that crossing pedestrian. That turning entrance is a long entrance that
distributes cars right into the parking lot into the internal circulation of the parking lot, so it is
not immediately adjacent to Route 28. Even with a delay, it would not spill into Route 28.
Mr. Tobin asked the engineer if they can agree that having that curb cut on Route 28, where
there is a bike path, and sidewalk, is more dangerous that not having one. Having the right
turn in and out, which crosses over pedestrian and bike paths, is more dangerous for
pedestrian safety than not having the curb cut and provides a greater probability of an
accident than not.
Ms. Waygan would like the proponent to answer that.
Mr. Adams does not consider this dangerous, from a probability standpoint, if there is nothing
here the denominator is zero. He doesn't think this is a yes or no answer.
Ms. Waygan stated this pedestrian and bicycle accommodation will be part of the conditions.
She will recognize the Town Planner when she gets through this list.
Mr. Tobin noted there are three key issues highlighted in the packet he would to discuss.
The Chair moved on to Site Plan Review, and having the Fire Department review this
document. Do we have something in writing from the Fire Department?
Mr. Adams does not have that in writing, but they did review the document and Mr. Kirrane
will make sure the Fire Department inputs their comments.
Ms. Waygan has been waiting to get to this piece about new comments. She would like the
proponent to bring them up to speed with this list and what was done for new residential and
commercial.
Mr. Adams stated this goes back to the original conversation on creating an accurate
foundation for evaluating future projects. This list was in response to an original T&B
comment, and they have a follow up that focuses on Mashpee Commons special permit
residential and the locations. In their response they say those units are off of Jobs Fishing
Road on the west side of Route 28.
Ms. Waygan asked about adding in Mashpee Commons 382 new residential units, Mashpee
Commons Steeple St. 171 units, Mashpee Commons North Market St. 73 units, Mashpee
Commons special permit 100 units, On Commons LLC 40B 65 units, the 40B that might be on
16
