<br />Article 6 <br /> <br />To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $250,000 from revenue available for <br />appropriation to the Other Postemployment Benefits Irrevocable Trust Fund, or take any other action <br />relating thereto. <br /> <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> <br />Explanation: This article will add funds to the OPEB Irrevocable Trust Fund which was established in <br />FY 2013 to assist the Town with meeting its potential post-employment benefits obligation. <br /> <br />The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 6 by a vote of 5-0 <br /> <br />The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 6 by a vote of 6-0 <br /> <br />Motion made by Selectman Weeden <br />Motion: I move that the Town vote to approve Articles 4, 5, 6, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 25, 26, & 27 as printed <br />in the Warrant and with the <br /> <br />Motion passes unanimously at 8:04 PM <br /> <br />Article 7 <br /> <br />To see if the town will appropriate the sum of $2,480,000 by borrowing for the planning and design of <br />wastewater collection, treatment and disposal initiatives in the Town of Mashpee, including all expenses <br />incidental and related thereto, to authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, to <br />issue any bonds or notes that may be necessary for that purpose, and to apply the premium received by the <br />Town upon the sale of any bonds or notes thereunder, less any such premium applied to the payment of the <br />costs of issuance of such bond or notes, to pay project costs and reduce the amount authorized to be <br />borrowed by the amount of the premium so applied; provided, however, that this appropriation and debt <br />authorization shall be contingent upon passage of a Proposition 2½ debt exclusion ballot question under <br />General Laws Chapter 59, §21C(k), or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br />Explanation: This article would provide funding to complete the design of Phase 1 of the wastewater <br />Management Plan/CWMP. <br /> <br />The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 7 by a vote of 5-0 <br /> <br />The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 7 by a vote of 6-0 <br /> <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton <br /> <br />Motion: I move that the Town vote to appropriate and borrow the sum of $2,480,000 for the planning <br />and design of wastewater collection, treatment and disposal initiatives in the Town of Mashpee, <br />including all expenses incidental and related thereto, and to authorize the Treasurer, with the <br />approval of the Board of Selectmen, to issue any bonds or notes that may be necessary for that <br /> <br />
