<br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton <br /> <br />Motion: I move that the Town vote to approve Articles 1, 23 and 29 as printed in the Warrant and <br />with <br /> <br />Motion passes unanimously at7:29 PM <br /> <br />Article 24 <br /> <br />To see if the Town will vote to raise, appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $150,000 for <br />relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Planning Board <br /> <br />Explanation: The Local Comprehensive Plan (LCP) was adopted in 1998 and has not been updated since <br />its adoption. The LCP is written to be consistent with the Cape Cod Commission Regional Policy Plan, <br />which has recently been updated. The LCP is required to be updated every 5 years. The LCP also serves as <br />text, maps, illustrations, or other forms of communication, that is designed to provide a basis for decision <br />making regarding the long-term physical development of the municipality. The comprehensive plan shall <br />Growth and development goals and policies statement; land use plan; Housing; Economic Development; <br />Natural and Cultural Resources; Open Space and Recreation; Services and facilities; Transportation, and; <br />Implementation program. The plan serves as a guide to future development and needs of Mashpee and it <br />also assists the Town with potential grant opportunities. <br />The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 24 by a vote of 5-0 <br /> <br />The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 24 by a vote of 5-1 <br /> <br />Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb <br /> <br />Motion: I move that the Town vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $150,000, from revenue <br /> <br />Motion passes unanimously at 9:01 PM <br /> <br />Article 25 <br /> <br />To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $65,000 from the Waterways <br />Improvement Fund to the Engineering/Permitting/Dredging and Associated Expense Account to cover the <br />costs associated with dredging 5,000 cubic yards of sediment from the Popponesset Approach Channel, or <br />take any other action relating thereto. <br /> <br /> Submitted by the Waterways Commission <br /> <br />Explanation: This article will transfer funds from the Waterways Improvement Fund to the Waterways <br />Engineering/Permitting/Dredging and Associated Expenses Account to cover the costs associated with <br />dredging 5,000 cubic yards of sediment from the Popponesset Approach Channel. <br /> <br /> <br />
