We
have an extremely active Land Bank. A Land Trust is a realty
trust that can buy, sell, or rent property. A Land Bank was
the precursor to the CPC and was set up by special state
statute that allotted money from a sur tax on property tax.
They purchased property but couldn't hold property. The
Land Trust is the missing piece here.
Mashpee Boat Ramp needs repair, as the pitch/slope is
incorrect. Litigation is needed to resolve because no one
wants to fix according to the right dimensions. The low
bidder got the contract.
Funds are needed for a bylaw review. The Chair stated the
Charter Review Committee meets every ten years for a
bylaw review. The first time she sat on Charter Review, a
bylaw committee was formed and proceeded.
