Agenda Coordinator Fund CPA Elsden S. Maria submitted, Respectfully PM 7:54 approximately at Meeting Library. Mashpee at 2026 ,25 August NEXT quorum) in meet (might meeting board
select th 10 August Monday for

Member McDougall asked that the August 10 meeting be posted so that the CPC may meet in
quorum during the Select Board meeting, if needed. The Chair indicated the committee has
handled this before and will manage the posting appropriately. The Select Board meeting
on Monday, August 10, 2026 is when the warrant articles may be finalized.

The Chair will prepare a memo to the Select Board summarizing CPC concerns about the
proposed CPA reduction and supporting the committee’s position. Members will help provide
statistics, project lists, photos, and possibly visuals/handouts for the Select Board and future
public meetings. The CPC noted that if the issue proceeds, the September public hearing before
October Town Meeting will be a major opportunity to explain CPC’s value. With respect to
th
posting the Agenda for August 10, the CPC wants to ensure the meeting is posted so the CPC
can participate in quorum if necessary. Members further discussed inviting or obtaining written
support from organizations or representatives connected to funded projects. Members want more
clarity on why the proposed wastewater funding need has arisen and how the budget is being
managed.

The draft warrant includes: Article 1 to reduce CPA from 2% to 1%; Article 2 to shift the 1% to
the wastewater fund.

MOTION: To adjourn.

Motion by: Richard Klein
Second by: Lynne Barbee
Vote: Motion passed unanimously.
7
