476 <br /> rM <br /> TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT <br /> September 26, 19?9 <br /> Barnstable, ss: <br /> To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are <br /> hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of the <br /> Town of Mashpee who are qualified to vote in the elections, to <br /> meet at the Town Hall (formerly the Samuel Go Davis School), the <br /> twenty-sixth of September, at seven o'clock, pama for the <br /> following purposes <br /> To act on the articles contained in the following warrant: <br /> Tellers: Mary Potter and Eleanor Thaxton. A quorum pre- <br /> sent (130), Moderator Frank Leonardi brought the meeting to <br /> order at 7130 P.m. <br /> .The Moderator informed the meeting that Articles 5 and 9 <br /> have been inserted in the Warrant in error and will not be taken <br /> up this evening as they are out of order regarding petition• <br /> Also, Article 6, which refers to Article 5, will not be <br /> taken up this evening as they are not in keeping with the pro- <br /> visions of the Submission of Articles to the Warrant• <br /> ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will -vote to transfer from Avail- <br /> able Funds the sum of $28.76 to cover the following „Unpaid" <br /> bill for the fiscal dear ending June "30, 1977 <br /> Falmouth Hospitalaa • . a• aa . . a . . . . . . . . • . . • . aa . a . . $28.76 <br /> ACTIONt Motion made and seconded that the Town vote to <br /> transfer the sum of $14.06 from Anti-Recession Funds and $14a7O <br /> from Revenue Sharing Funds to defray the cost of the unpaid bill <br /> at the Falmouth Hospital in the amount of $28.76 for the fiscal <br /> year ending June 30, 1977. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from Avail- <br /> able Funds, a sure of money to be applied to the Fire Department <br /> Wage Account, and to further transfer from Available Funds a sun <br /> of money to be applied to the Full-Time Firefighters` Salaries <br /> Account, to meet the obligation of the new contract between the <br /> Ton of Mashpee and the Permanent Firefighters Association, or <br /> take any other action thereon* <br /> ACTION: Motion made and seconded that Article 2 be Tabled. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> ARTICLE_3. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from Revenue <br /> Sharing the sum of $800.00, or any other sum, to be applied to . <br /> the Selectmen's Wage Account, or take any other action thereon. <br /> ACTION: Motion made and seconded to transfer from Revenue <br /> Sharing the sum of $8O0,0O to be applied to the Selectmen's Wage <br /> Account. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to amend Chapter II, <br /> Article XI, Section 1 of the Town By-Laws, by deleting therefrom <br /> the following: "who are not otherwise employees of the Town, or <br /> serving the Town regularly in any elective capacity" and by <br /> amending the Salary Administration Plan, Section 1, par (b) by <br /> deleting therefrom the following: "such voters not being other- <br /> wise employees of the Town or serving the Town regularly in any <br /> elective capacity". <br /> ACTION: Motion made and seconded to accept Article 4 as <br /> read. Motion carried: 93 For, 26 Opposed. <br />
