MA 02649 <br /> r,� cats° <br /> FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> Town Hall <br /> February 17 , 1987 <br /> Present : Finance Committee members , Frederic Blythe , Edward <br /> Dolan , Carol Dunivan , Carl Heller , Lou Hronek , and <br /> William Towner <br /> Jane LaBute the Town Clerk joined the meeting to review <br /> the FY88 budgets for the Town Clerk and Elections & Registrations . <br /> When questioned about the $500 expense for Repair and Replacement <br /> of Ballot Booths Jane explained that at present the town has a <br /> total of 9 booths . Six of these booths are in good condition <br /> and three are in poor shape . She would .Like to purchase three <br /> each year , rather than find she is in an emergency situation <br /> for booths . She also noted that the law presently requires that <br /> there be 1 booth for every 100 voters . <br /> Jane is requesting $1 , 200 in the Wage Account . The Wage <br /> Account has been $ 1 , 200 [or the past three years and is used to <br /> prey someone when the 'Town Clerk :is on vacation and for updating <br /> written records . <br /> The Finance Committee voted and approved the $1 , 200 in the <br /> Wage Account and approved $5 , 000 for Expenses . The Town Clerk ' s <br /> Budget was approved as follows : <br /> Salary $20 , 000 <br /> Wages 1 , 200 <br /> Clerical Salary 6 , 084 <br /> Expense 5 , 000 <br /> The FY88 Budget for Elections & Registrations was approved <br /> by the Finance Committee as submitted . <br /> Registrars Salary $1 , 319 <br /> Clerical Salary 7 , 881 . 33 <br /> Wages 5 , 950 <br />
