MA 02649 <br /> FINANCE CCKMITTEE MINUTES <br /> TOWN HALL <br /> February 1, 1989 <br /> Present : Edward Dolan , John Ferriday , Anthony Gallo , and <br /> Carl Heller <br /> The Finance Committee convened at 7 p .m. to discuss the <br /> FY90 Capital Program. <br /> General Government <br /> Voting machines -- $22 , 065 <br /> This represents monies needed for booths for second precint <br /> and ballot boxes , and printing of ballots . Finance Committee <br /> members saw the need for this request . <br /> Mapping Project - $300 , 000 <br /> This would be a joint project with the Assessors and other <br /> town departments to map the town with sufficient detail and <br /> accuracy . Chairman Heller noted that this should be a 212 <br /> exemption . <br /> ti <br /> Town Hall Architect - $43 , 200 The Finance Committee felt that <br /> this should be a 21 exemption <br /> Town Hall (Davis School) Boiler/Heating System - $9 , 450 <br /> This would be to replace a 1932 boiler , Finance Committee felt <br /> this was necessary . <br /> Town Hall Truck - $20 , 500 There was no backup provided to <br /> the Finance Committee on this Capital Request . The Finance Committee <br /> was not certain who had submitted the request . Chairman Heller <br /> stated that he had a problem with this request , as the school was <br /> also requesting a truck . He felt that one truck for the two <br /> would be sufficient . He felt the need for trucks has to be examined <br /> to see if the needs can be melded . <br /> Public Safety it' <br /> Police Cruisers - $43 , 950 This represents monies for three <br /> cruisers . Chairman Heller will meet with Chief Frye -on this matter . <br /> There were questions on the part of the Finance Committee as to <br /> trade-ins . It was noted on the Capital Program Request that this <br />
