Mashpee Design Review Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday, June 24, 2010 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 3 <br /> Committee Members Present: Thomas O'Hara, Tom Jalowy, and George Petersen, Jr. <br /> Also Present: Richard Stevens. <br /> Absent: Robert Nelson. <br /> Thomas O'Hara called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. <br /> Signs <br /> Get In Shape for Women <br /> 19 Joy Street <br /> Joanne Mastantuono appeared and the proposed signage for her business consisted of a blade sign <br /> 24X24; a sign over the front door; and signage on the window. The blade sign and the sign over the <br /> front door were fine but Tom O'Hara questioned the size of the signage on the windows since no <br /> calculations were provided in the application. Tom O'Hara explained to Ms. Mastantuono that <br /> signage is based on square footage calculations and he explained that it is spelled out in the town by- <br /> law. Rich Stevens provided Ms. Mastantuono with a copy of the pertinent by-law which she is going <br /> to refer to the sign company so they can provide the required calculations to her. <br /> Conclusion: Blade sign and sign over front door approved. Applicant is to forward window <br /> signage with dimensions to Building Department for review. <br /> Discussion <br /> Tom Jalowy asked if there was any update regarding the 160 Falmouth Road site discussed at the <br /> May 27t" Design Review Committee meeting. A site visit will be scheduled. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Tom Jalowy motioned to accept the minutes of the Design Review Committee Meeting of May 27, <br /> 2010 as written; Tom O'Hara seconded this motion; and the motion was passed. <br /> Adjournment...The Design Review Meeting was adjourned at 8:59 a.m. so that the Committee could <br /> reconvene for a combined meeting with the Plan Review Committee. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Jen Zilliberti <br /> Recording Secretary <br />
