Mashpee Design Review Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday, August 12, 2010 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 3 <br /> Committee Members Present: Thomas O'Hara, Robert Nelson, and George Petersen, Jr. <br /> Also Present: Richard Stevens. <br /> Absent: Tom Jalowy. <br /> Thomas O'Hara called the meeting to order at 8:33 a.m. <br /> Signs <br /> 21 Joy Street— B21 <br /> Signage for (Simply the Best) <br /> Fashion Jewelry and Accessories <br /> Day Sign Co — Mike Day _ <br /> Mike Day appeared and the proposed signage was reviewed. Mr. Day stated it is an all-carved sign. <br /> It will only take 2 or 3% of wall space; it is in compliance. <br /> Conclusion: Stamped approved. <br /> 387 Nathan Ellis Highway Unit#13 <br /> Signage for (Han Dun) <br /> Ejs' Music Studio &fine Arts Gallery <br /> -D.ay_Sign Co — Mike Day -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br /> Mike Day appeared and stated it's an existing projected canvass sign board and owner wants to use <br /> the old frame and just re-cover. While the Committee said the sign looks good, but since awning <br /> signs not allowed the Committee said they cannot rule on this awning sign. It was pointed out that <br /> there were other awning signs in the neighboring stores; George Petersen said 2 wrongs don't make <br /> a right. <br /> Conclusion: Deferred to ZBA. <br /> 106 Falmouth Road <br /> Signage for (Ferguson) <br /> Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery <br /> (formally JD Daddairo) <br /> Plymouth Sign Company— Michael Caggiano, Jr. <br /> Michael Caggiano, Jr. appeared and said the signage is to reflect a name change. He said current <br /> signage is 113 square feet and they are bringing the square footage down to 91. He was told that <br /> while the front is 852 square feet, they are only allowed 10% of that and no more than 5% on any <br /> wall. Mr. Caggiano said the new sign is individual letters; not lit. In reviewing, the Committee said the <br /> existing front entrance canvass awning can be modified to take JD off and put Ferguson and <br /> Customer Entrance on the awning. <br /> Conclusion: Signage application stamped approved. <br />
