TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> Minutes of Meeting, April 12, 1976, 7:30 p.m. <br /> • PRESENT: W.S. Clendenin, C.A. Brown, R.A. Graham, R.A. Maxim, K. Parolski, <br /> F. Leonardi <br /> Attending the -meeting1were several- members.' of the �Mashpee.Town <br /> Hall Employees Group; B. Jean Thomas, JerryfDePalma, Helen Kondochriste, <br /> and Marciat hicharme. —The various requests by°this 'group'as to salaries, <br /> vacation days, sick leave, severance, etc. were discussed. Mr. Clendenin <br /> assured the groupfthat the Board is working iri°good faith and plans to <br /> make changes where they are indicated in the SAP, and salary/wage schedules. <br /> Mr. Clendenin suggested that Attorney Kowal will possibly ,be retained <br /> to go over the SAP. when revised, in order to keep this in line with Fire <br /> and Police contracts- now'inteffect. ' lt.was ;agreed that up-to-date job <br /> descriptions are necessary before any salaryFchanges or titles can be <br /> changed. <br /> There was a discussion among Board members of a possible cost of <br /> living raise for town employees for the 1976/77 fiscal year. A motion <br /> was made, seconded and unanimously approved to recommend a 5% cost of <br /> living increase. <br /> Regarding salaries for 1976/77 fiscal year, letters will be sent <br /> to Chief Bingham recommending a salary of $19,561.50; for Fire Chief <br /> . Mills, recommending a' salary of $14,699,88, <br /> There was a review of the individual articles for Annual Town <br /> Meeting. Mr. Clendenin will discuss these articles further with the <br /> Board of Selectmen. <br /> In reply to a letter from Chief Bingham, 'dated March 30, 1976 <br /> concerning Robert Costa, a letter will be sent to the Chief stating that <br /> the Board has voted not to give any additional advance of sick leave to <br /> Sgt. Costa. He will remain on a non-paid basis for any additional sick <br /> or vacation leave taken in this fiscal year, and as for sick leave, this <br /> will not again begin to accrue until November 1, 1976. <br /> Having no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:45 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> jsa <br />
