t. <br /> I <br /> Minutes TOWN OF IMASIVEE <br /> N CLERK <br /> Quashnet River School Council Meeti�i��'� <br /> Wednesday, 14 October 1998 98 NOV 17 PH 1: 09 <br /> The first meeting of the Quashnet River School Council for <br /> the 1998-99 school year was called to order by Louise Doyle , <br /> Principal and Chairperson at 6: 35pm. The following members were <br /> present: Nancy Bowes , Sandra Reichel , Lucinda McKay, Kathleen <br /> Penney, Donna McCaffery, Carol Russell , Rebecca Bingham, Joseph <br /> Cusack, Brittany Wi ddi s and Sarah Zefzaf.. <br /> Public Forum <br /> Donna McCaffery spoke during the Public Forum. She briefly <br /> informed the Council about the "Computer for Kids Program" . <br /> Lucinda McKay informed the council she is writing a grant for <br /> this program. The deadline for applications is 22 October 1998 . <br /> Carol Russell presented a brochure for the Tanglewood <br /> Marionettes. This is an educational program complete with study <br /> guides , special effects and lighting instruction . The company <br /> offers the following plays-- Fairy Circus , Arabian Adventure and <br /> Cinderella. A presentation of Fairy Circus will be held at the <br /> North Falmouth Elementary School on 26 October 1998 at loam and <br /> 2pm. Mrs . Russell stressed this program is very well received <br /> both in terms of entertainment and education . Mrs . Doyle will <br /> further research this for possible presentation at the Quashnet <br /> River School . <br /> Election of Officers <br /> The 1998-99 Quashnet River School Council was introduced. <br /> A list of members will be provided at the next council meeting . <br /> Kathleen Penney is the new teacher representative replacing <br /> Alyce Shadan, who resigned due to personal reasons . Angela Luna <br /> is the teacher representative replacing Anne Shackett. Mrs . <br /> Shackett also resigned for personal reasons . The council would <br /> like to sincerely thank Alyce Shadan and Anne Shackett for <br /> serving on last year' s council and for their very valuable <br /> contributions. Brittany Widdis and Sarah Zefzaf are the new <br /> student representatives. <br /> Mrs . Doyle then asked for nominations for co-chairperson <br /> and secretary for the 1998-99 council year. Donna McCaffery and <br /> Carol Russell volunteered to share the secretarial duties. Mrs . <br /> I ... <br />
