HIC registration number 165732 was assigned to the respondent on March 22,2010. That <br /> registration expires on March 22,2016. <br /> 2. On May 7,2014,flffie'complainants met and contracted with the respondent for residential <br /> contracting services. Shaun Brummerloh is the owner of Backyard Pool Co.Inc. <br /> 3. According to the contract,the respondent was to install an in-ground vinyl swimming pool. <br /> 4. At the time the contract was signed,the property at issue was an owner-occupied home with four <br /> or fewer dwelling units... <br /> S. The total contract price was$22,300.00. <br /> • 6. The contract for home improvements did not contain the registration number of the contractor, <br /> the date on which the work under the contract was scheduled to begin and the date on which said <br /> work was scheduled to be substantially completed;a clear and conspicuous notice that all <br /> contractors and subcontractors must be registered with OCABR and that all inquiries about a <br /> contractor or subcontractor relating to a registration should be directed to OCABR; a statement <br /> informing the homeowner(i)of any and all necessary permits, (ii)that it shall be the obligation of <br /> the contractor to obtain said permits,and(iii)that homeowners who secure their own permits will <br /> be excluded from the guaranty fund; or a statement in ten point bold font directly above the <br /> signature line warning the complainant not to sign the contract if there are any blank spaces. <br /> 7. .On the contraet.signing.date,the.complainants-paid-a deposit-of-$3,000:00.- <br /> S. <br /> eposit-of$3;000:00:S. On May 30,2014,the complainants paid$300.00 towards the building permit fee. <br /> 9. When work began on June 4,2014,the complainants paid an additional$13,600.00 toward the <br /> contract balance. <br /> 10. Initially,there was no established date for substantial completion. <br /> 11. The complainant,Jeffrey Williams,works as a residential and commercial contractor.
