MINUTES March 12, 1998 5 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Board members forwarded their signature's to the "Emergency Repair <br /> Certification"form. <br /> 4 Oxfordshire Place - Mr. Evans relayed, "I inspected the site and found the leach pit <br /> overflowing and sewage backing up into the house. <br /> Board members forwarded their signature's to the "Emergency Repair <br /> Certification"form. <br /> *****OLD BUSINESS***** <br /> a. Town Warrant Article -Human Services <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> b. Revised Health Providers Budeet <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "In speaking with Selectmen Costa he requested I bring to <br /> the Board's attention the fact that at last Monday's Board of Selectmen meeting Norma <br /> Kumin and Nancy Caffyn presented the human services article for $40,000.00." <br /> "Subsequently, a lengthy discussion took place during which Selectmen Costa convinced <br /> the other Selectmen to vote to agree to increase our Human Service budget from <br /> $75,000.00 to $100,000.00." "They then requested Ms. Kumin and Ms. Caffyn to <br /> withdraw the article." "Ms. Kumin and Ms. Caffyn did not accept the Selectmen's offer as <br /> they wanted to discuss the matter with this Board." "In my opinion, the Board should <br /> review the Human Services budget." <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "I spoke with Ms. Kumin who informed me the budget was <br /> reduced by $3,000.00." "She then requested I consult with the other Board members to <br /> see if they would consider increasing the budget to $105,000.00." <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "Mr. Costa informed me that the way it was left with the <br /> Selectmen was that the Human Services Committee did not buy the Selectmen's offer to <br /> increase the budget to $100,000.00, they wanted to think about it again." <br /> Mr. Cram stated, "I'm really have a problem with increasing the budget this year." <br /> "I would rather see it as a separate article." <br /> Mr. Evans stated, "I would recommend we go with the $100,000.00 budget <br /> increase." <br />
