TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> April 7, 1999 <br /> Meeting was called to order at 7:08 p.m. <br /> Members present: Robert F. Cram, Sr., Steven R. Ball, John T. Doherty, Elias A. <br /> McQuaid and Veronica A. Mayer <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING; IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Robert F. Cram, Sr., Chairman <br /> 1. Sian warrants. Warrants signed. <br /> 2. Approve minutes of February 4. 1999 meeting. Mr. Ball motioned to accept the <br /> minutes of February 4, 1999. Mr. Doherty seconded the motion. Motion <br /> passed. <br /> Approve minutes of March 17, 1999 meeting. Mr. Ball motioned to accept the <br /> minutes of March 10, 1999. Mr. Doherty seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> 3. FYI - SD 5 Management Plan: Board Acknowledged. <br /> 4. Letter to AFCEE re: LF-4 & Pond Testing: Board Acknowledged. <br /> 5. Water hook-up: 16 DrV Hollow Lane: <br /> Mr. McQuaid explained, "Three years ago Yankee Survey designed a septic <br /> system for the abutter to this property which was approved and the permit <br /> issued. About a month ago the abutter, David Norton, called the Board of <br /> Health to say that he thinks he has problems with his water. Mr. Norton is on <br /> a private well is less than 100' from his neighbors septic system. They have <br /> come to a compromise where Yankee Survey will pay $1,000.00 toward the cost <br /> of connecting to Town Water." <br /> Board acknowledged. <br /> 6. Variance Request: 2 Cedar Street: <br /> The applicant is requesting a variance of 22' from the proposed leaching facility <br /> to the existing well of house #18. <br /> Mr. McQuaid recommended "We could have him put the active leach it where <br /> Q p P <br /> the reserve is which would put it another 10'away from the well." <br /> Mr. Doherty agreed, "I would still like to see maximum distance so I'd <br /> recommend that they flip the two." <br />
