MINUTES May 18, 2000 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Santos requested that the Health Agent recommend to the Air Force that <br /> they do more advertising in the local newspapers the results of the fact sheets. <br /> 5. Variance request: <br /> 6 Great River Road <br /> The applicant is requesting a variance of 10'from the proposed soil absorption <br /> system to the street property line, a variance of 5'from the property line of <br /> house #8 to the proposed soil absorption system, a variance of 6'from the <br /> reserve area to the slab of the storage shed, a 10'variance from the house #8 <br /> property line to the reserve area, a variance of 30'from the proposed soil <br /> absorption system to the inland of the coastal bank and Great River, and a <br /> variance of 45'from the reserve soil absorption system to the inland of the <br /> coastal bank and Great River. The system has been designed to include a <br /> micro-fast denitrification unit. <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to continue the variance requests pending more research and <br /> verification of the number of existing bedrooms in the Zone II property. Mr. <br /> Santos seconded the motion. Motion to continue passed. <br /> 1 Wilson's Grove <br /> The applicant is requesting a variance of 5'from the proposed soil absorption <br /> system and reserve area from the street property lines and the side and rear <br /> property line, a variance of 5'from the proposed soil absorption system to the <br /> catch basin and a variance of 16'from the proposed soil absorption system to <br /> the foundation. <br /> Mr. Santos motioned to grant the variances as outlined in a cover letter dated <br /> May 12, 2000 from Cape and Islands Engineering. Mr. Ball seconded the <br /> motion. Motion passed. <br /> NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br /> b. Chef Chris' Cafe <br /> Ms. Warden stated that the restaurant formerly known as Barney's Cafe in the <br /> Popponesset Marketplace is requesting a 2000 food service establishment <br /> permit. <br /> Mr. Santos motioned to grant a 2000 Food Service Establishment permit to <br /> Chef Chris' Cafe pending a satisfactory inspection by the Assistant Health <br /> Agent. Mr. Ball seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> C. Sea Oaks pool <br /> Ms. Warden stated that the Sea Oaks Condominiums pool was without an <br /> outdoor shower, which is against the state sanitary code. She stated that a <br /> shower should be installedP rior to issuance of their pool permit for the season. <br /> Mr. Ball stated that three months should be more than enough time to get the <br /> shower installed. <br />
