MINUTES March 15, 2001 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to approve the subdivision plan with the condition that the <br /> soil absorption systems are in the front of the lots. Mr. Santos seconded the <br /> motion. Motion passed. <br /> 10. FYI: Storm pictures received from ConsCom re: 266 Monomoscov Road <br /> Board acknowledged. <br /> 11. Monitoring wells plan approval: South Cape Factory Outlet <br /> Mr. Santos motioned to approve the monitoring well locations as submitted for <br /> the South Cape Factory Outlet Center. Mr. Ball seconded the motion. Motion <br /> passed. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> a. Meeting with George Heufelder re: Repair policy and other pertinent information <br /> Discussion took place regarding scheduling George Heufelder to come before <br /> the Board to discuss septic repairs and other information. It was decided to <br /> ask Mr. Heufelder to come before the Board on March 29tb when a full Board <br /> will be present. <br /> b. BOH policv re: repairs <br /> It was agreed that this discussion item would be postponed until Mr. Heufelder <br /> is in attendance on March 29Lh. <br /> C. UCRTS violation report re: Pina Sanitation <br /> Ms. Warden stated that she received a phone call from Bill Fedemma of the <br /> Upper Cape Regional Transfer Station stating the Pina Sanitation brought in an <br /> unusually large load of trash recently. He decided to look through the trash <br /> and discovered items from other towns which is in violation of the <br /> Intermunicipal Agreement. <br /> Mr. Santos motioned to fine Pina Sanitation $300.00 for this violation. Mr. Ball <br /> seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> d. Smoking Regulation <br /> Discussion took place regarding the proposed smoking ban. Board members <br /> agreed to hold public hearings on this issue and to notify the Mashpee <br /> restaurants prior to the hearing(s). Board members agreed to hold a public <br /> hearing at town hall on Thursday, April 5, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. and to publicize <br /> the event in the newspaper prior to holding the hearing. <br /> e. Part-time help <br /> Discussion took place regarding the part time help that was budgeted for the <br /> Board of Health being transferred to the Department of Public Works for the <br /> management of the transfer station. Ms. Warden stated that she was against <br /> the transfer of this position as the Board of Health is in need of the additional <br /> help. Mr. Ball directed Ms. Warden to send a memo to the Board of Selectmen <br /> supporting the transfer of the part time position to the Department of Public <br /> Works. <br />
