TOWN OF MASHPEE !GWj,4 CPf.TO BOARD OF HEALTH March 29, 2001 0► tAY -9 PH 1: S7 Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present: Steven R. Ball, John T. Doherty, L. Glenn Santos, and Veronica A. Warden THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING; IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. Mr. Steven R. Ball, Chairman APPOINTMENT: Dick Brooks re: Illegal Dumping Mr. Dick Brooks was in attendance for this scheduled appointment. Ms. Warden stated that the Department of Public Works had discovered trash at the ball field and found trash strewn everywhere that contained the name "Sandy Paws" or Priscilla Mackie. The DPW picked up the trash. Mr. Brooks stated that he is the owner of the business Sandy Paws in Mashpee Commons. He stated that because he has no storage space in his shop that he often puts boxes, some with trash inside, outside the back door of his shop and takes them to the dumpster at the end of the day. Sometimes people ask to take his boxes away for their own use. He feels that someone must have taken some of his boxes and emptied them at the ball field. Mr. Santos stated that he would like a letter sent to Mashpee Commons directing them to provide more accessible trash disposal for their merchants. Mr. Santos motioned to waive the $300.00 fine imposed upon Dick Brooks for illegal dumping. Mr. Doherty seconded the motion. Motion passed. 1. Sign warrants. Warrants signed. 2. Approve Minutes of February 1 & 15 2001 meetings Mr. Santos motioned to approve the minutes of February 1, 2001. Mr. Doherty seconded the motion. Motion passed. Mr. Santos motioned to approve the minutes of February 15, 2001. Mr. Ball seconded the motion. Motion passed. 3. Request for 2001 Food Establishment Permit (Cooke's - under new management) Ms. Warden stated the Cooke's Restaurant is under new ownership and has passed a pre-opening inspection. Mr. Doherty motioned to grant a 2001 Food Establishment Permit. Mr. Santos seconded the motion. Motion passed.
