7) Site next to the existing Mashpee Fire Station. Good access here, right off Rt. 151. <br /> Currently there is a rope course here(a Is Outward Bound)which would have to be <br /> removed. No access from Barnstable Road. Access by the Fire Station. <br /> 8) Land behind the Industrial Park off Rt. 28. The new Medical Center is located here, but <br /> there is not much industry going in. Requires an access road. <br /> After discussion about the above available sites, the Committee agreed to consider seriously <br /> sites#2, 7, and 8. Iry recommended that some committee members walk these sites to get a <br /> better feel for their suitability. Tom Fudala will be invited to join these walking visits. Tuesday, <br /> January 15th at 1 PM, all interested committee members will meet at the Senior Center for the <br /> walking tour. <br /> Discussion followed about interest in doing site visits to other Senior Centers recently built. It <br /> was agreed that the Committee would meet on Wednesday, January 23 at 9:00 AM at the Senior <br /> Center to look at the centers in Orleans, Yarmouth and Hyannis that day. Wayne Taylor will <br /> arrange for a Town van for the trip. Visits to the Centers in Duxbury, Westwood and Middleboro <br /> will be set up on a subsequent day. The Committee agreed that they would be looking at layouts, <br /> building facades, and interior furnishings, regardless of the size of the Center. <br /> The next Senior Center Building Committee meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 30"n <br /> at the Town Hall.
