TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> January 8, 1997 <br /> The Design Review Committee met at 6 : 30 p.m. on Wednesday, <br /> January 8 , 1997 , at the Carol Jacobson Senior Center. <br /> Present were: Tony Ferragamo, Chairman, Ed Govoni, Mary LeBlanc, <br /> Thomas F. O'Hara, and William Hauck. <br /> 1. Italian Market Deer Crossing <br /> Attorney Robert Mills and architect Doug Anito made a <br /> presentation for two 30 ' sq. signs to be placed in the front <br /> and rear of the Italian Market. There was no objection to the <br /> signs , but a landscaping plan was requested. <br /> They will be back at a later date for approval of a rear driveway <br /> sign and a menu board near the drive-through window. <br /> 2 . World Gym Addition, Deer Crossing <br /> Mr. Mills , Mr. Anito, and Mr. Capozelli were in attendance with <br /> plans for a new gym addition on top of an existing building. <br /> The new structure matches the bottom portion of the building. <br /> The parking space allotment exceeds 32 spaces . Mr. Hamblin <br /> asked about an adequate fire alarm system. Mr. Capozelli is <br /> negotiating with Intercity Alarms about installing an alarm <br /> system to bring the building up to code. <br /> 3 . Harbor Ridge Landing Sign <br /> Dick Kelly represented Donald Bissonette with a request to put <br /> up a temporary 3 ' x 3 ' conventional real estate sign on Great <br /> Neck Road South. Mr. Kelly will pick up a permit for a <br /> 4 ' x 4 ' sign from the Building Inspector' s office on Monday. <br /> 4 . Mashpee Commons Building 11B - John Renz <br /> a g <br /> Mr. Renz displayed a scaled model for Building 11B. He is <br /> seeking a height variance of 2 . 7 ft. The highest peak is 37 ' 2" . <br /> n is brick, wood and granite. They e <br /> The composition g Y plan to put <br /> P <br /> stores on the first floor and apartments on the 2nd floor. <br /> This will be an elevated building. Mr. Ferragamo requested <br /> plans showing the elevator placement and also the street scape. <br />
