The
site plan showed some areas with existing trees and
plantings 3o ft , on center . The consensus was the
proposed buffer is inadequate , Thirty feet on center
is unacceptable and doesn ' t begin to provide a buffer .
Complete screening is required . It was requested that
plant species , quantity , and sizes be identified on a
mare extensive landscape plan . Suggestions included 4
ft . to 30 ft . on center . It was generally agreed that
15 ft , on center would he acceptable , The raised beds
and lawn area appeared adequate .
The front 3 ft . X 5 ft , wooden sign will have a maximum
height of 5-6 ft . overall . The 16 sq , ft . wooden sign
on the building met with approval . Color of the signs
will be brown with gold lettering. The wood stockade
fence will be painted to match the building ,
Mr . Curry was reminded a bond is required with a
special permit application .
3 . Plymouth Savings Bank
Mr . Doug Amidon proposed a 4 ft , x 7 ft , sign on the
building located on Falmouth Road. It was agreed the
building would look better with such a sign, and Mr.
Amidon plans to request a special permit for this .
A 20 sq. ft . hanging sign was proposed in order to
replace the existing 14 sq. ft . sign. A new post will
be installed . There was some concern expressed
regarding the overall increase in square footage,
however, the plan was generally well received.
Meeting adjourned at 7 : 25 p.m.
NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING : Wednesday, September 25 , 1996 .
Respectfully submitted,
I.aneA. ierce
Recording Secretary
