Mashpee Design Review Committee Y Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday,July 13,2006 Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 3 Committee Members Present: Walter Yarosh, Thomas O'Hara,Lee Gurney, Robert Nelson, and Richard Stevens. Absent: Mary LeBlanc Summary Procuts, South Cape Village- Stamped approved. • Capeway Cleaners, South Cape Village—Stamped approved. • Lovely Dance Studio—Stamped approved. • McShane Construction Co.—Approved subject to conditions: (1)They extend retaining wall up another inch;(2) buffer either has to have snow fence or be staked and ribboned off before clearing so Town can come out and look at property before clearing; and(3)tree expert's report to be sent to Town Hall; and any trees removed must be replaced in kind and quantity. Minimum size caliper to be 3";evergreens to be 6-10'minimum. • Senior Housing Development—Approved with letter to Board of Selectmen and to Board of Appeals attached noting Design Review recommendations to decrease buffer from 100 feet to 75-feet at Falmouth Road and 50 feet for the rest of the property;to see some areas left as green grass areas for recreational purposes;and to clear and landscape area in front of building to offer more visibility but in clearing front selectively keep trees to make it look more naturally vegetated. • Design Review will send to Town. Duck Pond Limited Partnership—Approved subject to conditions m letter D gn o These conditions include: Building Department must be notified prior to any clearing otherwise applicant will be in violation of the permit;buffer either has to have snow fence or be staked and ribboned off before clearing; and Applicant to go back to Cape Cod Commission. Applicant has not yet applied for signage. • Cape Cod Free Clinic&Community Health Center—Not approved. Pat White to schedule a meeting July 28 for Applicant and Design Review to meet with Tom Fudala(Town Planner)and Greg Taylor(DPW)to discuss the many issues that are a problem using the back lot site proposed, which could be dealt with if front lot property were used. •. 70 Nicoletta's Way—No action. Applicant bypassed Design Review;went to Board of Appeals. Walter Yarosh, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Signs Procuts 44 South Street South Cape Village Robert Talanian B. Robert Talanian appeared. The signage was reviewed. Conclusion: Stamped approved. Capeway Cleaners 15 Commercial Street Gerald Camey Gerald Camey appeared. The signage was reviewed. Conclusion: Stamped approved.
