The grant is for a two-year Director
position in the amount of$50,000 per year. The grant will require our 25%participation. The
Committee can offer in-kind services and free space amounting to 201/o of the requirement,
leaving a cash match of 5% or approximately $5,000. Joe asked the Committee to review the
letter again and note anything that is missing. Robyn will serve as liaison between the
Committee and the Cape Cod Commission.
Joe prepared a list of tax-taking properties that have some potential for sale/auction. The next
step is to have the Planning Department review them. Then, the list can go to the Board of
Selectmen for their review.
Joe suggested giving pictures of the two sites in the Industrial Park to Paul Neidzwicki,
Chairperson of the Cape Cod Commission. It was suggested to take pictures of the Community
Health Center and the new construction by the Mashpee Realty Trust (Keller and Shields) at the
corner of Commercial and Industrial Drive. Also, along Mercantile Way which leads to Great
Neck South could be included. Google satellite pictures are readily available. Joe asked if we
have presentation maps. Rene noted that Tom Mayo, Assistant Town Planner, can make a map
upon request. Rene will e-mail Tom Mayo, with a cc to Joe Noonan, and Joe will follow up with
a call to Tom.
Robyn will set up a date with Paul Neidzwicki offering him a choice of two Thursday dates:
nd th
May 22 late mornin /afternoon or May 29 mid-morning/afternoon. Bob Cobuzzi, Robyn
Y g
Simmons, Joe Noonan, and Terrie Cook will most likely attend the meeting to be scheduled in
Hyannis. Rene will print out the pictures provided by Tom Mayo. We can learn the process to
help make it easier for builders in Mashpee. Pat Costello, the Town's lawyer, can help.
Joe asked for a confirmation about the 6 acres across from the health care center, if it is for
office/retait/hotel use. The 2.5 acres is for Industrial use. The conditions for approval will come
from the Planning Board, along with approved zoning regulations. Terrie Cook stated that most
of our answers are in the progress report titled Mashpee Technology Facility Study, dated
September 10, 2002,the pre-permitting process by KFP Architects.
It was recommended that Joe refer the letter from Jamie Coughlin about building a new sport
complex to Gus Ferguson in Leisure Services.
