Finance Committee Minutes <br /> Page 2 . <br /> March 11 , 1987 <br /> The Building Inspector also noted that he has an Article <br /> on the Annual Town Meeting Warrant for a computer , MAC Plus , <br /> with a total cost of $9 , 215 . <br /> Marie Scalley joined the meeting to discuss the Cemetery <br /> FY88 budget . The Burial Agent salary was approved as submitted at <br /> $679 . The expense request was $5 , 000 but Marie stated that $2 , 500 <br /> would be fine if there was to be some sort of an Agency Account <br /> set up so the Funderal Directors would put money in and the town <br /> wouldpay the contractor for the grave digging . She stated that <br /> it costs about $400 to dig a grave and the Funeral Director is <br /> supposed to take care of the cost . She stated that the Cemetery <br /> Commission was just getting going and they have a lot of organizing <br /> to do . The budget was approved as follows : <br /> Burial Agent $679 <br /> Expense 2 , 500 <br /> The Chairman of the Board of Appeals and Veronica Warden <br /> the Board Secretary appeared before the Finance Committee to <br /> discuss the Board Secretary salary . The Board of Appeals had <br /> requested $11 , 424 in the FY88 budget and the Finance Committee <br /> had approved $7 , 500 at a previous meeting . Vern noted that <br /> through February the Secretary had used $5 , 170 . The Finance <br /> Committee voted and agreed that the Board of Appeals Secretary <br /> salary should be changed to $8 , 500 . <br /> The Finance Committee secretary was instructed to send <br /> a letter to Charles Lawrence , Chairman , Board of Health , <br /> seeking any recommendations he might have .on his FY88 budget . <br /> These recommendations must be received by the Finance Committee <br /> by next Wednesday , March 18th . <br /> The Finance Committee voted and approved the following <br /> unclassified items : <br /> Emp . Health Insurance $270 , 000 <br /> Emp . Life Insurance 4 , 650 <br /> Emp . Medicare 10 , 400 <br /> Unemployment 20 , 000 <br /> Police & Fire Indem . 1 , 000 <br /> Veterans Dist . Assessment 7 , 753 <br /> Benefits 22 , 000 <br /> Veterans Graves 500 <br /> County Retirement .assess . 260 , 000 <br /> Pension Trust Fund 52 , 795 <br />
