MA 02649 r98 c IANCE COMMITTEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES Town Hall March 11 , 1987 Present : Finance Committee members , Frederic Blythe , Carl Heller , Joyce Howell and William Towner . Town Accountant , Vern Polka . Louise Berman of the Conservation Commission joined the meeting to discuss the Board Secretary Salary . The Conservation Commission had requested $8 , 472 in the FY88 Budget for their Board Secretary . The Finance Committee at a previous meeting had voted and approved $6 , 600 . Louise stated that there was a great deal of typing involved and .most of the work was state—mandated . Chairman Blythe noted that to date the Commission has spent $3 , 300 and 2/3 of the year is gone , thus they are well within the present budget . He also noted that the $6 , 600 figure represents a salary step , a pay increase and 157 . Finance Committtee members felt that the $6 , 600 was a reasonable and adequate figure and agreed to keep it as previously voted on . Doug Boyd , Building Inspector joined the meeting to discuss the Building Inspector ' s FY88 Budget . The budget requested $14 , 357 in expenses . It was noted that to date only 507 of the appropriated funds for expense has been used and we are in the 8th month . The Finance Committee agreed with Joe Murphy ' s recommendation of 312 , 716 for expenses . The $20 , 486 . 66 for the salary for the Asst . Building Inspector will only be approved if there is a 22' override . There was a correction in the Building Inspector ' s salary to read $28 , 947 . 75 and the remainder of the budget was approved as submitted : Expense $12 , 716 Building Insp .
