Chairman Blythe <br /> told Dr . Nicholson he would inform him of the Finance Committee ' s <br /> vote . <br /> Chairman Blythe next discussed the Conservation Officer ' s <br /> Salary with Committee members . The Conservation Commission has <br /> asked to use cranberry receipts to offset the budget and pay <br /> the Conservation Officer ' s salary , and give up their capital <br /> improvements . Chairman Blythe noted that he felt that the <br /> cranberry receipts should be used for conservation purposes. <br /> He expressed his belief that the Officer ' s salary should come <br /> out of conservation money , however , the money should not be spent <br /> on other town needs . The Conservation Officer acts as a liaison <br /> between the taxpayer and the Conservation Commission . He is <br /> responsible for mi.-nitoring all the conservation land in the town <br /> and there are a large number of parcels .. All Finance Committee <br /> memberspresent agreed that this was a nece•�sary position and <br /> it was agreed to discuss this w_th the Executive Secretary . <br /> The FinLigce Committee adjourned at 8 : 30 p . m. <br /> Next scheduled meeting Mar -a 11 , 1987 <br /> Gail McNabb <br /> 3oard Secretary <br />
