The $2,000 will make the difference between 18 hours per week and 20
hours per week, the minimum requirement to receive benefits. John made a motion, and
Vern seconded it, to support a motion at town meeting to amend the salary/wage line item
o for the Planning Department by an increase of $2,000. The motion passed unanimously.
Harbormaster, Sfiellftsh, Herring Warden
In anticipation of a consolidation of these departments, insufficient funds have been
allocated for the individual departments to get through the year. The Selectmen are not
asking that the figure be amended on town meeting floor, because each budget contains
sufficient funds to get through the summer, with intension of re-organizing the departments
at the fall annual meeting.
