Al Polsi is also the liaison for this department and he also handed out a packet to the members'for diacussion. Issues the members then discussed were whether. the fees'could be increased fordump passes, the request for a part-time clerk -to'work for, .both the Board of Health and the Building Department., Denise'mentioned that, they! would have toycreate a position for a part time secretary at town meeting: Al responded that according to Marilyn Farren, there was a floating clerk type position that was previously created. Ed indicated that there is Yo money available in the floater account. Al •reaommehded that the money beput into Personnel for a floating clerk,' not specifically for the. Board of Health of,:the Building Department, but_to 'float where needed., ' , Denise .asked•whether the Agent andHealth Agent in the Health Department • would be`•getting'a cost,of. living increase. Al responded'.that they have not put in for one. Tony,}then stated that. all services that are going to be cut will have valid reasons why, they shouldn't. be cut. ,. We cannot give everybody what they want_and come up with a balanced budget. - • • Tony felt that we.need.to sit down and make a list of priorities and when we get to the bottom and we are out of;money, those departments' j will.have to go to a 2.12 override.
